What the extension does
Job Tracker Quick Add is a Chrome extension that lets you save a job posting you are viewing into a Google Sheet you select, along with your application date. It uses page titles and job-posting metadata to suggest a company name and role.
Information we access
- Google Sheets: with your permission, the extension reads and writes the spreadsheet and sheet tab that you select. It does not browse or access other Drive files.
- Current browser tab: when you click the extension, it reads the page title and limited page metadata needed to suggest the company and role. It does not monitor your browsing in the background.
- Optional Gmail scan: only when you choose “Connect Gmail & Scan,” the extension requests read-only Gmail access to find recent application-related messages. It reads message headers, snippets and relevant body text to suggest application details and statuses. It does not download attachments or send, delete, or modify email.
How information is used and shared
The extension uses this information only to provide its job-tracking features. It sends job details directly from your browser to the Google Sheet you choose, using your Google account. We do not operate a developer server, sell data, share data with third parties, or use your data for advertising.
Storage and retention
Your selected spreadsheet ID and tab name are stored in Chrome’s synced extension storage for your use. Job application records remain in the Google Sheet you control. Gmail scan results are held only while the extension popup is open and are discarded when it closes.
Revoking access
You can remove the extension’s Google account access at any time from Google Account permissions.
